Hi, if I don't have gesso, will water do fine? And how do i apply water, with a spray bottle or by dipping my brush in water and then putting it all over the canvas?
Thanks! Love your optimism!
you're welcome.. it's ok. I also live in a third world country... you can it any.. 🙂 keep it up and jus have fun. 🙂
John magne Lisondra Thanks, I live in a third world country so I don't think there's any gesso pre-applied, the canvas is pretty dry. Anyways, I'll do as you say. Infact, this is going to be my 1st painting (of the bricks). Hope it to be as good as yours!
Hello... If you buy your canvas in local art store or online it's pre-primed and you don't have to add another primed (gesso) on it unless you want the surface to be smoother. Just dip the tip of your brush ito the water with paints and mix it on your palette to achieve more fluid paints and apply it.
Thank you
you're welcome Nancy
