Hello John, Your lessons and tutorials are wonderful and I learn a lot from them. There is one question that I wanted to ask you from this tutorial. When you apply the bright paint over the dark areas, it gets perfectly attached to the surface and the bright color is prominent on the dark area. However, when I try to do so, I get the dark colored layer interrupting with my bright color or the highlights. For example when I try to draw the leaves over the dark background. I cannot get the clean shape of leaves. What could be the possible reason for this? Is this because of the brand of Acrylics that I am using?
@Art of John Magne Lisondra Thank You Very Much for your early reply. Actually, when I add water, my painting gets spoiled further since the color becomes more light and thin while the dark color beneath gets more prominent spoiling the top layer of light color that I am painting.
You can add a little bit of water... Just enough to make it flow freely
