This is the first episode and the first step in painting this portrait. This video consists of doing the graphs or grid lines to copy the exact form of the reference photo. This also includes the first layer of painting the face or the base color which includes adding the dark lines or tones of the important parts of the face. The next episode will be on the next day. I am still on the process of editing other episodes. Please hit like, add some comments and subscribe for more free videos.

From light or from dark in Acrylic...please??
@Art of John Magne Lisondra ok. Thank you very much. But a little problem is Acrylic color was rapidly dry before mixing it. What medium you used it to mix?
You can do both.. But i always do dark to light...
Very nice u are really gifted sir pasend po link ng Adobe Photoshop na gamit niyo po may na download ako na Photoshop Wala pong ganyan ung pra sa grid lines po TIA 😍😍😍
I don't see you using water or retarder, yet you blend so well. I'm confused.
Ayos idol!
Excelente tutorial. Lo mejor que he visto para pintar retratos con acrílico. Gracias John, es usted un magnífico profesor.
Amazing done
Wow, your technique is just wonderful! Thank you. This was inspiring 😊 I'm going to use your tricks next time I paint
Nice painting.
Love your tutorials especially your use of only 5 colors. I hope to be capable of doing that some day. But I do wish you would show us more of how you are mixing the skin tones. PLEASE
Thank you very much for your intrusion. I often watch you on internet to learn how to draw a beautiful potrait because I am too old to go Art school!
Did you use a black and white reference photo so it would be easier to establish the values?
Awesome!! I have a question.. acrylic is drying very fast and do not bland very well. Can you give some tips how to keep it wet except diluting with water. Thank you 🌷
you can use acrylic retarder to make it dry slower or you can also use water spray and spray a little amounts just to keep it wet
Thank you for this beautiful tutorial. By the way your English is not bad
you're welcome Dris... I am actually learning by talking here... 🙂
well presented. Thank you, love learning from you
