    1. blend the edges and make sure no sharp edges visible. Make the brush a little dry. You'll achieve that also on constant practice on blending..

    1. This one I made on a hardboard and I was using titanium white, phthalo blue and lamp black

  1. I'm trying to start learning how to paint now and clouds was my first idea. I watched lots of YouTube videos to help me and I say yours is the best. Can I just ask, do you put anything on your canvas first before painting them?

    1. thank you very much for that! Yes! I put 3 coats of primer gesso or white acrylic for a smooth surface... and sanding it after 2 coats and adding last 1 final coat...

  2. Brilliant, self-taught is the way to go. I have not had an art lesson since leaving school 35 years ago, but five years ago started to paint, and now use the name Vincent Dontdoit (pronounced "Dhondwah") for my artistic works. I might add some clouds to my pictures now. Thanks.

    1. John magne Lisondra ty John! n my wife says mahal kita from the U.S her and I love your work! peace brother!

    2. That's good to hear that your wife is a Filipina... Thank you very much my friend. I will try to inquire the shipping company if they some way to cut down the costs... Hopefully one day I can travel and go to some other places.. I'd love to go to U.S... God bless you too bro... I will never stop painting.. 🙂

    3. John magne Lisondra ok my friend plz do so because your sitting on tons of money! I go to the Philippines once every 2  yrs.  My wife is fillipion, if you want to come to the U.S let us know you have a place to stay..GOD bless John! n never stop painting....

    4. I am planning to do that. but shipping could be a little expensive because I'm from Philippines... I will try another way...

    1. John magne Lisondra No, thank YOU for showing me. I'm actually out of Titanium White, but I'm going to pick some up tonight and I want to try this tutorial. Your clouds blow my mind, they are gorgeous. And your technique is really professional. My hat goes off to you. I'll give it a shot tonight. Also, I love your choice of music. Definitely got a subscription out of me.

  3. Great video! I learned a lot from what you did. I'm currently watching your videos to learn how to paint my own illustrations and, I can say that they're really helpful! 👍

Do you mind if I ask what brand of acrylic paint you use? The current paint I have isn't as watery as yours but I can tell your paint seems to do its job better by distributing the colours more evenly than what I have.

    1. Thank you Evy. I am using students grade acrylics like Basics and Reeves. Just add a little water on it to make it wet and easy to apply.. Not too much water but just enough, even little by little and experiment what's the best amount...

  4. I have never been able to get my clouds to look like this. Sometimes i spend most of my time on the sky trying to get it just right. Thank you for this video, I too am a self taught painter. I love to paint and your tutorials are so perfect and easy to follow!!

    1. thank you Julie... From the time you're trying it again, there will be changes and that changes is your current improvement... So keep painting, trying it again is really a good idea...

    1. no it's different. It has brown surface when I bought it. I coat it with white acrylic for 3 layers.
