  4. Hello and what a beautiful illustration. Thank you so much for sharing your gift and it was very helpful. Also I loved listening to the beautiful haunting
music as you were painting and I am wondering what music is this and who is the artist? Is it you?

    1. Thank you so much for viewing my painting. No the music is not mine. Its from Chris Zabriskie entitled "is That you or Are You You"

  5. I like the colors you use and the way you paint the clouds. I learned very much. Thank you for sharing

  6. This was the first tutorial I watched by you. I really enjoyed the explanation about the clouds. Very nice. The computer voice was just a bit distracting. Thank you for taking the time to help us newbies. Can't wait to see more from you.

    1. +Jeff Monik You're welcome sir... I did my best to do it in English so that more artists can understand.... Thank you so much sir... ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. Incredible clouds looks soo real i love them thanks for share and take the time to teach your own techniques!!

  8. Nice!ย  And wow, you're self-taught?ย  You're obviously a realist and very talented... but have you tried painting impressionistic style like Monet and Pissaro?ย  I've tried several times and have been unsuccessful.

    1. malou haynes Thank you Malou for your wonderful comment. Yes I'm self-thought. I tried impressionistic style before when my client asked me for a commission but now I'm still enjoying realism.

  9. I enjoy your tutorial very much and you are getting much better at explaining it. Did you use any water to thin out the clouds? Or, did you just do horizontal strokes until you ran out of paint? At 7:55, what color mixture did you exactly use? it looks like white blue with a hint of gray.
At 17:42, I personally thought that you were a bit vague in how you were retouching the clouds. I knew what you mean, but this is just a thought.ย
I honestly can't wait for more of your tutorials and to try this out this weekend (hopefully!).ย
I also have to commend you for being a self-taught artist ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. lilazn239 Thank you so much Lilazn... Yes I used water to thin the clouds to preserve the transparency and also I did it to blend the colors because its easier to blend when the brush is wet. There are lot of techniques in painting and sometimes you discover it yourserf. Sometimes I just do some horizontal strokes until it ran out of paint and after that blend it with wet brush to have a good color blending.

At 7:55, I mixed 3/4 white, 1/8 phthalo blue and 1/8 lamb black or similar ratio of paint. Actually you need to control the mixture of paint little by little until you get the result. Example on halftone part of the cloud. I first mixed white with a very little amount of blue then I add a little black and if its still looks gray so I need to add a little blue to make the effect bluish gray.

At 17:42, sometimes I retouched my painting because I wasn't contented of the result. So added some little halftones and highlights until it looks good for me...

Again thank you so much lilazn.

      Happy painting... ๐Ÿ™‚
