John.. I am your fan and avid follower and love your paintings. Very much alive and full of characters. You are very talented. However, I have seen it in other artists' as well, they all are quite similar. As an elderly audience and someone who have seen this kind of paintings
in video and in countries that I have visited, perhaps you should paint something different, original and authentic that people have never painted before in order to get a breakthrough. Maybe more Asian and tropical kind of style, because you are from this part of the world.. Don't amulate the Western too much. Our culture and scenery are beautiful, no less better than theirs. But what & how? I don't know, perhaps you just have to tap your creativity harder in order to come out with that ideas. Cheers
