Outdoor Painting with My Friends at Canlaon City by JMLisondra

This is not a tutorial video. Me and my artist friends gathered last May 8, 2016 to have an outdoor painting session at Canlaon City. We found a spot on Oisca Farm near a well-known Century Banyan Tree which was more than 1000 years old. I liked the group of tree formations and their trunks have white peels which added to its beauty. I finished the painting for 40 to 50 minutes. Please enjoy watching us painting.

Thank you for watching!

  1. hi John thanks for your reply. but can I just point out I'm a lady, not a man. but thanks for answering. I definitely will get back to painting one day. x

  2. Hi John what an amazing location. you, and all your friends are so talented. every one of their artworks was so beautiful. it was good to see how your work progressed. and funny to see how painting outdoors, attracted so much attention. you really are inspiring me with your work. many thanks. x

    1. +Julie Norton you're welcome sir.. and thank you so much... Yes! it's really nice to paint outdoors. The air is fresh and it's nice to be with nature.

  3. Hey John could you consider painting more fantasy/sci fi landscapes that are eery and creepy to lovely and heavenly or distopian and futuristic

  4. Congratulations.! Good Job. They are lucky having a teacher like you. Thank you, we are far away, but we are learning too from you.

  5. I'd like to paint as beautiful as you and your friends. I'll practice to hard. Your painting are very real. Congratulations all of you. Nice!

  6. That is so awesome to have your friends paint with you. They all did such beautiful work and what a lovely farm too. Thank you for sharing John.

    1. +Peggy McClain you're welcome.. Yeah its great to have friends painting together. It's a good bonding. And the farm was very wide too... Thank you for watching.

  7. very nice but the little figura in the middle is too small, remember the horizon line is the eye level, so the head should be around it no matter how far is he otherwise he would look like a midget 😀

    1. +Comrade Morlac thanks... yeah! I've observed that during the session.. but my horizon was higher than the actual scene which I did it wrong. It maybe because of unsteady eye level due to my small easel...
