  1. OMG, John, I did exactly what you instructed me to do and it has resulted in a wonderful painting.
    Especially that birch tree, without the leaves!! Different branches and twigs, same beauty! Thank you!

  2. Once I hopefully find a primed canvas, I'll surely make this painting. Btw, a stupid question (I'm a new painter). Why don't you directly make the hills and mountains with green paint instead of making a blueish-grey layer then applying green paint?

    1. blueish-gray background will make the color lighter and it's easy to adjust the the perspective. How far a mountain is.
