  1. I am in the very beginning , and you are very good teacher and off course a awesome painter, I am your fã. You help to paint my first one and I never thought I will be capable to do it. My very thanks to you.

  2. Thank you! Really beautiful! i love the misty effect. Could you please tell me the color of acrylics you used for the horses?

  3. Hi john I just finished the horses step by step with you ,can I sent my picture to you ,then you tel me about my mistaken job ,thank.

  4. I'm so happy I have internet again and can follow you! I love everything about this painting !! Thank You for sharing your lessons, it's time to give this a try! :)

  5. This is soooo beautiful, I watched it a few times now, I'm afraid to try it...but I want to sooo bad. You are soooo talented. I've been painting for about 2 months now...and I want to get out of my comfort zone and try this! However afraid...lol

    1. +Mary M sorry for my very late response... i had a technical problem with my internet modem. I was using 12x16 inches. Yes you can choose canvas board for easy framing.

    2. Thank you for your quick reply... :)
Okay...well... I have to work this coming weekend... I will pick out a blank canvas out of my collection, and go for it first thing next week. What size do you think would be best... ?? What size did you use?? And.... I may choose a canvas board instead so I can frame it .....Incase I like it.. haha.

    3. Don't be afraid Mary... You will never know until you try this. And you can still correct it if you commit some mistakes. You can cover areas you don't like. It's paint and can be cover. And just have fun.. :)

  6. hey I have done your painting woh can i show you that.....i wanto show it to you....thanks for guidance

  7. Beautiful work in every video but they all seem to be very unfocused and blurry for me. Am I the only one to notice?

    1. John magne Lisondra your paintings are beautiful and worth the quality of better video. :)
We all have camera trouble. Hello from Canada.

    2. Yes sometimes I didn't notice the focus of my camera since I am using auto focus feature on it. But I'll make sure that it will be more focus next time or buy another video cam for close up shots..

  9. Hi John! I love all your work, I did have a question. The whites and overall paintings lately for seem to run a bit cyan-green, there's a distinct color cast that isn't bc of my monitor, and I wondered if either your camera is accidentally set at fade, chrome, or somethjng like that, or if there's fluorescent lighting in the room. I experimentally color corrected for it and the whites look clean and your paintings look even better, which we wouldn't think is possible, bc they are awesome;) Thought I'd ask, maybe check the camera? I say that bc mine slips to other settings on me when I shoot my paintings, and has done on others I know, I accidentally brush the setting to "fade" or "instant", etc., and I can go back and just set it back to "none" on setting and my paintings look as I painted them again...just an idea. It took me awhile to figure out why mine were looking so cyan-blue when I shot them, when my paintings weren't. My vids were fine. Them I saw the setting had switched on me.... Btw, you're amazing they way you can just paint in a horse with all the details. You have great sight for details in all things.

    1. Thanks, John, hey I just thought of maybe making a little space for shooting with white shower curtains from the dollar store if you live in an area with them, that's an inexpensive experiment. Anyway, thanks again, I'll keep learning from you. Thanks for taking the time to respond:)

    2. you're welcome and thank you very much for that! yes I am going to try experimenting with it... and maybe change my room color... :)

    3. Oh, I see, yes, that definitely makes sense! I have colorful walls as well, I wouldn't paint over them for anything:) Haha, maybe just a pinning up some white sheets for filming, but then that's an expense, they aren't cheap, and that's a hassle. Wonder if a bit of magenta or magenta-red transparent film over the lens or something would bump it to neutral a bit. Just musing aloud. It has me curious. I'll have to experiment myself with that, maybe make new, weird-colored vids myself;) Anyway, your vids and work are just great, I'm always amazed at how you are able to see just where to work in all the layers and layers of color and detail, and it comes together so beautifully. You have good sight for that. Thanks for making the vids. I learn a lot from them:)

    4. thank you for that Miss Kim... I think it's all in the color of my room. It bounces to the painting and the problem is my video camera is using only auto white balance... that's why I only edit it in post production... I think I need to change the color of my room.. :)
