  1. Just saw this tutorial and I love the realistic look of the waves and the sand. John....Great job once again!

  2. You are one of the best ,you explained as you paint we understand each step thanks you again are so good

  3. What do you do to prepare your canvases before painting? Do you put some transparent medium underneath or with the paints or white gesso? Because the way your acrylics blend is so smooth, and I can't figure out how you blend so well. I want that atmospheric look.

    1. I only used gesso to primed my canvas... and I dip my brush into the water to make it fluid and that's why it flows on canvas.

  4. BEAUTIFUL! They say the devil is in the details as far as being hard, but they are what makes your paintings breathe!!! Your hard work, talent, passion and eye for detail shows in your work Absolutely amazing❤

  5. I have enjoyed every minute of your tutorial and of course the painting is beautiful. Thank you for inspiring me and I suspect lots of others to master the art of painting.

  6. great really enjoyed it. could you soon in sometimes, especially on detail !! otherwise great, all the best from UK :-)

  7. I'm new at painting and enjoyed your instructional videos, this one, the winter scene and the mountain scene so far. Thanks for your guidance and inspiration!

  8. I painted this one following you, it was hard for me, water is hard he he he but pictures with water are most beautiful ones. Thank you for great lesson :D
