  1. Thanks for another easy and wonderful tutorial!! Totally how the real mountain painting look the better!!

  2. Dude, there's a thing called editing. Please use it so we don't have to watch you readjust the camera or painting without adding any commentary or any valuable information.
Or maybe you really wanna skip the 10 minute mark, or the 20 minute mark.

  3. Thank you John. I need to learn to paint mountains and you make it look so simple. I will refer back to this tutorial when I am ready.

  4. Very good tutorial, John. Thank you so much. I learned so much from your teachings. I can't begin to thank you enough. Please, keep teaching us; you are so good at both teaching and at painting. I love your art; you are such a good artist. Can I ask you a question? I heard you say that you've started painting 14 years ago/ How long did it take you before some of your art started looking somewhat, realistically? I know that with practice and time, i should start getting better but how long before I should just figure that it's not going to work for me? I've started in February and I do see a little improvement but everytime I think I'm getting better then I run into another snag. Like with blending, I can't seem to get it right. I painted a rose and I feel like I've ruined it because I can't seem to blend it or highlight it correctly. I'll get back to my mountains and clouds again, now. I'm going to try to paint your way from beginning to end and see if I feel like I've improved. I sure hope so; I'm almost 58 years old and I haven't given up on any of my paintings even if I don't like them, I finish them. But there always seems to be something that I don't like about them. I don't expect a master piece; but I've been hoping that I could start feeling good about it. I do mess up by not using a reference photo. I do think it's too soon to try to paint without one. I've done pretty good on ones that I've followed the tutorials on; but they take me several weeks. I'm going to go back to the basics and just do clouds, then do mountains, then trees and etc.... Maybe I'll develope my skills better by trying that way. Also, by mixing paints your way. Anyway, I won't give up, I'm not a quitter.

    1. Thanks for your reply. I guess I was feeling weak that day. I do like a lot of things about my paintings but I am always finding my mistakes; that is a good thing for improvements, i'm sure. LOL I'm glad that I found your videos on YouTube. They really help me a lot. and just for clarification, It wouldn't matter if I were following a reference photo or a video, a painting still takes me a long time. I painted clouds over the past two days. Today I'm going to work on my mountains. That will take, at least, a few days; if not a few weeks. LOL I really appreciate your videos. Thanks for all your help!!!

    2. +Debby Huddleston you're welcome and tjsnk you very much! Just keep doing it and paint more... my tutorials are just guides... look on your progress always anytime you did one painting... have fun...

    3. John Lisondra, Yes, you are a very good painter; you're among the top 3 on YouTube. I may not be good at painting yet; but I'm good at picking out good painters/art work/good artists. You're a very good painter and I get inspired by your work. I'm very impressed with your art. Thanks for your reply and your inspiring message. I'll keep it up. I tried painting clouds again yesterday and they came out better after I watched your Do's and Don't on clouds. I kept playing parts of it over and over and paused at certain parts to catch exactly what you are doing. I forgot to watch for a bit and got in the zone but lost it. Though, they are nowhere near as good as yours, they are indeed far better than my first few clouds. I really appreciate your help. Please keep posting. I'm going to work on my mountains next; God knows how much I love how you brought you mountains alive in your Do's and Don'ts on Painting Mountains, above. They are beautiful. Thanks again. Debby

    4. +Debby Huddleston you're welcome Debby.. i actually started when i was 14... so it's 17 years already.... in months i see improvements but it's not yet that good... my cliffs was still like banana cake because it's too plain. But i was so addicted during that time with painting that's why i continue painting and keep the inspiration of being good at this one day... so don't give up and keep the fire in you... find more inspirations and be inspired by each of your finished works...
