My latest acrylic painting, “The Burden of a Farmer Painting,” is a 24×18 inch canvas completed in 2025. This isn’t just a portrait; it’s a monumental homage to the unyielding spirit of the agricultural backbone of our society. When I set out to paint a portrait of a farmer, I wanted to go beyond the conventional representation and instead, sculpt a visual metaphor for their strength, endurance, and profound connection to the land. In this farmer painting, the central figure isn’t flesh and blood, but a colossal statue, imbued with the weight of generations.
In “Eternal Love 2,” Filipino artist JMLisondra transcends the boundaries of traditional portraiture by merging the human form with the grandeur of nature.
