  1. Do you prepare your canvas with anything before you paint? My colours for the sky do not blend as good as yours, whats the secret?

    1. I just add a little amount of water to make it fluid... just experiment on mixing the right amount of water.. Don't make it too much.

  2. First of all I love your work, and your tutorial videos are outstanding. You're instruction and the actual mixing of the paint is such a bonus. The fact that you achieve all of this with just 5 different colors on your pallet is amazing. Thank you for taking the time to really show how it's done. Plus you seem like you are just a very pleasant person and such a good artist. I have been wanting to try acrylic and I have seen your videos before, now I am going to try to learn.

  3. Hi John! I try to do this acrylic painting with synthetic paintbrush and the strokes are very strong and defined.
I wanted the painting to look more blurred. Does that have to do with the technique or the quality of the brush? maybe both. I would like to know what material you recommend. thank you very much!!!

    1. I think it's a little hard to achieve that with acrylic without using a retarder since acrylic dries fast.. You can use acrylic retarder to let it dry slowly and you can blend and make the edges smooth.

  4. John! Just discovered your channel.. really informative and enjoyable! You have a great technique and calming and relaxing style. Keep it up! And thank you for sharing!

  5. Thank you so much for teaching. You are a good teacher.
    Excellent artist.
I'm Brazilian Thank you so much

  6. You are the best John! You got me into painting! Please keep doing video classes like this - they're amazing! I think it really helps to see you mix the colours too
