  1. Hi, John. Well, another beautiful painting!
I love the limited palette, it is starting to help me understand how to achieve some of the colors I am trying to get.
I know you are self-taught, but did you study art in school?
I know there were no videos to watch back then...lol
    Maybe it was reading books?
I am so happy you do this for us, as I have learned so much.
Not enough yet to paint something as beautiful as you do on my own without at least a reference photo.
Do you paint wildlife at all?
I would LOVE it if you did a video with Deer in it. Like Bambi, or a big Buck with antlers !!
Thank you so much. All my best to you and your family.
Oh, what kind of dog and bird do I hear sometimes in your videos?

    1. +John magne Lisondra (JMLisondra) wow!!! beautiful work..plus u re such a wonderful soul who shares talents in a selfish world!

    2. Hello Cheryl.. thank you very much for that message. I am a self-taught. I started when I was in high school. I learn painting by myself and sometimes on reading books because I don't have youtube or internet during those days. My progress was really slow and I learn new techniques day by day the same techniques I am teaching here on my videos. Yes I love painting wildlife also. Maybe I could try deer and any other animals in the future. I have a cross breed shih tzu dog and have chickens 5 small and 1 rooster and 2 hens... 🙂 Thank you very much Cheryl..

  2. Hi John, once again a great and beautiful painting. I enjoy watching till the end. When are you going to upload video of making your own canvas?

  3. Look you even finished your paint and is already beautifullI would like this sky like you, my regards to you,

  4. Wonderful painting. Today or tomorrow I will be painting this with u. (I'm just barley starting) I feel honored to paint with u!!!

    1. Just do more practice in color mixing and have more patience just like what Cheryl said.. 🙂

    2. I know that feeling.
John is using primary colors to try and teach us how to achieve our desired color.
It takes a lot of practice.
I am still new to this, and what I do is just use an old canvas, gesso it and play with the paints, and try to write down what I mixed to get what color.
      It takes time and patience.
Just keep trying, you too will get it. !

  5. Please add some videos for beginners level also . Have been following ur work . Too difficult for beginner level .u r an excellent teacher so would love to learn from you simple ones also

    1. thanks John. i was trying to call u on the phone number that u have on ur website... is that correct number?

  6. Marvelous painting! Reminds me of Avatar.. ung hair ng paintbrushes mo, are they stiff (china brush) or the malambot type?
