  1. I mean its a nice rose but that language tho ... and can u please skip the parts where u just draw the unimportant things....the video would be much better 🙂

  2. Really pretty painful watching where you drew the rose out first..which seemed like a totally unnecessary step when you started putting the red on and covering the drawing. Just painting a circle in red then the extra rose petals out would have saved beginners painful time. The end result is beautiful but cut to the chase and eliminate the beginning where you draw the rose in. Just sayin.....

    1. +Sharlene Plescia the drawing at start and covering it with red paint and then painting it with different form of petals was just showing that they can create their own rose with much different form of petals. Giving them the confidence that it has no exact form and they can use their imagination on creating one.

  3. What I really like about your paintings John is that you are using low grade colors, and still achieve unbelievable, premium looking paintings. Good Job!
I have a techinical question. Do you paint while standing or sitting, and why?

    1. thank you very much Michael... for me I find comfortable when sitting because I get tired easily while standing.

  4. Wonderful painting!I was wondering how you are going to make it a rose after painting whole area red first! But it was amazing to watch how you made it a beautiful rose!

  5. wow, just beautiful. you make it look easy but it's not. I have tried and tried to do a beautiful rose but just can't get it. I will keep practicing while watching this video and maybe one day I will get it. thank you so much.

    1. you're welcome.. It's not easy at first... but soon you can do it. Just keep painting.. thank you..

  6. Hi John, I see that you don't use any water when painting and still your paint just flows so smoothly on the canvas. When I'm painting, even when I use a lot of water, the brush still can't keep flowing around on the canvas in one single stroke. Why is that so? Thanks,
    -Asbaat

    1. Hello Asbaat.. honestly that was also my problem before when I was starting to paint. It was hard for me. The solution I found out was to give more patience and from time to time I learned move my hands to create solid strokes.. It's all in the hand movements. It's just like the brush is part of your hand. Even if the canvas is rough you can still create smooth and solid strokes. Anyway even the stroke is not solid, you can apply another stroke to make coat solid.
