    1. it's normal at first... mixing and textures are really hard part.. but just keep practicing. First time is always hard..

  1. You are really my inspiration.
I hope I will be able to create paintings that are as great as yours through my own style.
I love your paintings Sir. God bless.

  2. Big Thanx John, dunno about an hour it's taken me all week but WOW! Thank you very much for sharing this I've learnt so much.

  3. Thankyou John
    I have just found you.
    You are incredibly talented.
I yearn to be a quarter as good as you..
Peace and love. Melbourne Australia 😊♥️

  4. Incredible sir! What brush are you using? Is it just basic acrylic paints you use? And do you dilute the paints at all?

    1. thank you.. yes! it's just cheap brushes... and I mix my paints well and dilute it with water sometimes.

  5. How come my brush wont have enough colour to paint a tree in a single stroke like you can? do I use too little water with the color or is the brush Im using too thin the hairs cant contain enough paint for a single stroke?

It would be very useful to see how you use the water with your colours, cuz I dont know how to use the water in the correct way with my colours :)

This is my 2nd tutorial Im following from you. I really appreciate them! <3

  6. Once again, this painting were really beautiful and I love it!!! Also, it's okay if there is some mistake since we can learn from it to make our painting even more better :)

  7. Thank you so much john, tomorrow I will paint this one and it will be the 5 th of yours, you are best artist and teacher, god bless you and your family

  8. U amaze me every time with your talents! No worries, everybody makes mistakes, you are a very good teacher!

  9. Hi JM! I'm following this tutorial now. This is my sixth of yours. We know you are working with limited colors for a purpose (thanks for teaching us how to mix them). Just a curious question - if you were to work on more colors, how much will it impact the overall look of your own painting? Will you go for a more vibrant look, or do you prefer the more natural color themes?

    1. I lived in Manila for 6 years before and Deovir was my main source of art materials. You're always welcome and thank you very much :)

    2. Got it! When you get the chance to visit Manila, you may check Deovir - they've got quite a variety of colors, and brands, too.Going back to my painting now... still learning some skills and picking up a great lot from your instructions. There are times I redo some portions just to make it quite right. Thank you for responding to our questions, and for being a good teacher!

    3. thank you Laura... It will actually add more vibrant look on my painting. specifically the colors like violet... the one that I mixed is totally different than the commercial colors... But since not all colors can be found on my local art store.. so I decided to use the very limited colors I have now and also ever since I started painting I only use this group of colors because it's more natural for me and it makes me proud that I created this colors out of just 5.

  10. As always John a wonderful lesson very well explained i don't think any of us watchingnoticed you forgot the reflection it was very honest of you the sign of a good teacher thank's John the xx are kisses in English so xx for you from your old lady
