Thank you! Looking forward to part 2!
Amazing
Wow Jon you are So Cute and inspiring.. thank You ❤️ I do have a question? why are you taping off the edges of your canvas? And can you Throw a couple of birds in there? Love it. Thanks again waiting for part 2❤️
Trish Coomer Phelps taping edges just makes it look cleaner
Looking foward for second part! Thanks John.
Thank you....I just appreciate your lessons so much....very beautiful and informative
Thank you very, very much John for this tutorial. I have some large canvases 18X24 and like that, but I've been afraid to start painting on them. My first two attempts to paint larger were disasters because I just couldn't get the scale of things right, I'm so used to painting smaller sized canvases 8X10 mostly. Either the trees were too large or the far off cottages too timy. Nothing looked the right size. I've also been collecting very nice large frames from thrift stores and rummage sales for the day when I wuld feel comfortable enough and skilled enough as a painter to try again to paint on large canvases.
Now, with this video, I have the courage to try again. I can;t wait to see part two. I'm so glad you didn't time lapse this larger painting and condense it into one video as sometimes when I watch time-lapsed art instruction videos, the brushstrokes. brushes and colors used are too fast for me to follow, it's like a blur. Our brains can't really process information if it comes at such high speeds it just doesn't register, all I see is a painting being made sort of magically at warp speed. I'd much rather watch and really study and absorb 2 or3 hour long videos to see EXACTLY how a large painting is created.
This was such a great idea, to make an instructional video for larger paintings and do it in real time. I know this is a big help to many beginning - intermediate stage artists like me. Thank you again.
Awesome! Can't wait for part 2! Love the way you paint and teach... so effortlessly! 💝💝💝xxx
Hi John, I see that you have tape going around your canvas, what size is the canvas really and how come you did use the whole canvas? I do thank you for doing it this way for a change. I think that it will a lot easyer for me. I am defintely going to paint this one. You are an amazing artist and again I thank you so much for sharing you talent with the world...
