  6. John, another great tutorial. I have not used the canvas paper pad, I’ve been cutting watercolor paper 18×24 into 4 pieces 12×9 and back tape them to a piece of 1/4″ foam board on my easel. This works great for me. Following your tutorials helps improve my technique. As well as using primary colors and mixing to get the colors I need.

    • Thank you Robert… water color paper has also good surface for acrylic. Just keep it up and have fun painting… :)

  14. Hi John. I like that you showed how a beautiful painting can be created using only the 3 primary colors… plus black and white. The simplicity of this painting all the more highlights your focal point which is the vase. I have never tried the canvas sheet that you used here. I noticed that you had to apply more layers of paint (5 layers yata sa grass) to achieve the color and depth that you wanted. I don’t have a lot of patience… so ayoko na yata yang canvas sheet, hehe! Another great job, John!

    • maraming salamat po Maam… yan po problema sa canvas pad. manipis lang po ang prime na gesso. dagdagan nalang po ng 2 coats ng primer bago pintahan.. hehe… First time ko din gamitin to.
