  9. Very nice John…great lesson and enjoyed watching the scene come to life . Is this format easier for you? I know you make and prep your own canvas which takes time and money. ..I like the larger canvas your older format where you hold the palette we can see everything much better . The color mixing and the canvas . Also for beginners it’s always better to paint big …but if this is better for you . I have seen a couple of comments asking if you can paint like before with bigger canvas. It’s up to you of course. What’s best for you I know you work very hard to make these tutorials. And we all appreciate them.

    • hello Stella.. sorry for late response… Yes I think smaller canvas makes me paint faster and I can place my camera in front of me compare to bigger canvas in which I need to put the camera on my side. but soon I will try bigger canvas for a little change.. thank you Stella

  10. Quick question. Would it be OK to add burnt sienna with white on the front of the house for contrast, then snow on the doors, and windows?

    • I think yes.. but you need to experiment with it… and compare which is better..

  11. I love your work and you inspire me so much. After (RA) surgery I still can’t paint right now, but I want you to know that I’m still watching you, and love what I see. You are totally awesome!!! So is your artwork also.
