  1. I am not getting that solid 3d effect of tree trunk. In video the colors are not so visible. Is there another video on trunks

  3. Hello John. Your paintings are really amazing. I am drawing this woody cabin, but the background and the cabin got very dark, I used the same colour and the same way as yours. I haven’t added autumn trees yet, I don’t know I can continue with this darkness or not. Please help me. What can I do now?

    • you can try to lighten it up with white… too much water will make it soft…

    • Thank you very much for your reply. This is my first acrylic painting and I don’t know whether it is right to make my brush wet before using the colors or not, because I think maybe this darkness is because of using much water. What do you think?

    • hello Maryam.. thank you very much. Maybe you added darker colors on it. You need to add more white to make it lighter. You can still retouch the background. No worries, you can cover the paints with other layer of paints.. make sure to let it dry first.

    • lo que ves en el video es el tiempo normal. dependiendo de los detalles. cuanto mĆ”s das tiempo, mĆ”s bella se volverĆ”.

  17. John, is there a way to recover the forest if I got carried away with the sun rays? I lost my forest in the background. Or should I just try the whole painting over? Thank you xx

    • you can still retouch it since acrylic dries fast.. so no worries
