Thanks. I’m a woodworker and planning a bathroom vanity build. My wife wanted it painted with nautical colors and I decided to do a blue that I like a lot and decorate it with koi, because we have a koi pond. I haven’t painted since I fooled around with water colors in college, so I wanted some instruction. Your video is perfect, especially with how to build up the colors. I feel like I can do this competently now. I’ll probably paint a dozen or two koi on practice boards before I start in the finished piece, but now I know where to start.

Hey John, comosta?
Hope you’ve been well champ, I’ve spoken with you a long time ago, in also a painter, and I’ve also painted realistic kois, I hope to be able to share my work with you one day!
You did a great job!
I know if I was making a video, I wouldn’t be as thorough as you speaking about what brushes I use etc, I would be like look at this brush and this brush and these are acrylic/oil/watercolour paints and the canvas is that big, and here is where I get my media I’m usingfor reference, I like how you are very detailed with your explanation!!
Been a fan for a while now, and will continue to see your work, I know this is an older video, but I still love it,this particular one I don’t know why but I do!
