The best thing in you is just you’ll use only basic colours but create wonders by getting away many shades out of them!!! while before really starting to paint I used to think I want many colours apart from basic ones to do some shades… But thanks a lot John😃 I’m now out of that illusion.. learning a lot from your videos.

  4. I am a cosmetican. What is the purpose of painting such dark blocks of colors. This is in contrast to how we are taught to apply color.

  14. You are absolutely amazing. This is a great tutorial. I have tried to paint portraits several times and gave up due to not knowing how to mix the colors and layer them. I finally decided to paint along with you on the African boy painting and it turned out okay but didn’t look anything lke yours, however I felt good knowing that I succeeded. My goal is to learn how to paint more portraits. My question is, would you consider making a video series of how to paint portraits. I would be willing to pay of course. Maybe through your patreon or something? It is something that I would really like. If it something that you would consider implementing, please let me know your fee? I have painted along with 7 of your tutorials and all of them turn out great except the portrait:-). I plan to paint along with every tutorial that you have posted. Yes you are that good and my skills are getting better all of the time, thanks to you!
