Shalza Ray this is just the block in stage…the underpainting…this is how to start a landscape…establishing the correct values (the lights..darks). No “details,” are added…just abstract shapes with correct light and darks.

Hi John, this is an excellent idea of yours. These are the things many people like…things like just a Mountain on its own with all its ridges, rocks and highlights. Individual things like a simple portrait for beginners (it is the real basics that help us the most) or painting a tree (like in your previous videos), or may only a wave.
