  1. Art doesn't need any particular language for demonstration ...if it's real it will reach to the heart of other artists .. and we got your lessons that's what matters... God bless you... Keep painting and keep inspiring...

  2. Beautiful and useful tutorial. May God bless u. Please tell about what palette u r using to keep colour wet for longer time

  3. Thank you very much for all your lessons, and sharing your talent with us. You are a very talented teacher and artist.

  4. still amazing that You are self-taught. Your understanding of color is just fantastic. as well,.. have watched a few of Your older painting vid's,.. I am soooOOOO happy that You stopped using that computer voice for the voice-overs! thank YOU! kinda wish You'd go back and voice-over a few of the older ones,.. would be so very much easier to understand.

    1. wesleyam you will always get a duller violet from that mix. Adding white does help a lot but if you seek a more intense violet use a red that is biased towards violet such as Quinacridone Magenta (PR122) or just use Dioxozene Purple (PV23).

    2. try to clean your brush first... maybe it has some paints on it that mixes on the colors you are mixing..

  5. I didn't know that you get a brown by mixing red and black, thank you! :-D
I always used red and green to mix brown, but it seems like you don't recommend that. Why? :-)

    1. Maurice Jerome what John actually did was to make a maroon (deep red) then added yellow (to make a deep orange). So actually he made orange and that is where “brown” lives in the color space and it became brown because he darkened it and he added some blue (from the black). It is the same for Green and Red mix because you are mixing all three “main” colors that equate to a deep orange.

    2. yes you can also mix red and green to create brown... it depends on you where you are comfortable. for beginners black and red is easier..

  6. You are amazing and this is definitely the best color mixing video I saw :) simple explanation ! Thanks a lot ... would love to know how many years have you been painting ,?? Are you a full time artist ,??

    1. Art of John Magne Lisondra thank you very much ... and now we know why it's difficult for us ... we haven't painted for even the last 17 months , overall :D
