I think that you’re pretty good at painting trees and plants, but you could work on buildings and manmade things… They look unfinished to me in the final picture and don’t fit in the overall picture, they feel not ‘blended in’ the scene for me… Maybe they are way to clean, white? Try breaking the colours with a minimum of black in order to break their brightness… And the perspective of the huts right side doesn’t fit to the left side. The roof has got a ‘hangover’ on the left side, but on the lower right side it seems to be aligned with the wall… Can you see it? There should be an edge, some kind of corner, but the wall goes straight into the roof…

    • The whites is called higlights and this is an imaginative work… Meaning i didnt copy it from anything other than my imagination. And this is painted in less than 2 hours straight just enough for beginners to learn.

    • Yes, I have seen that šŸ˜‚ But even painting out of imagination, you can and should follow the constructive rules in every aspect of buildings f.e. … And I didn’t mean the ‘highlights’, which I now pretty well… Somehow the building and the well don’t fit in the rest of the picture due to the way they are painted. They are to bright/white in my opinion and you could put them in a better relation with the rest of the picture by choosing your colouring more carefully.

      I draw and paint almost everything from my mind, sometimes I copy from a picture, but my main goal is an overall impression of a picture made from one piece, with no parts exceptionally popping out by wrong colour choices…

    • Don’t get me wrong, your work is well done and pretty to watch as you’re doing the painting, but it wouldn’t catch my eye in an exhibition…

  7. Fun to see a drawing that looks like it should be in a kids colouring book turn into something realistic with depth. It was all super cool but the fact that the peak of the roof isnā€™t Centre on the house bothers me.
