Thanks to the accompanying music as your painting came to life, I saw my best friend who passed away 25 years ago staring at me through the eyes of a beautiful eagle. Free and majestic, ready to soar in another world. Thank you. Your work really touched me! 🥲🦅💕

Voltex Voltex says:
1 thing i learn when drawing a realistic painting is.. highlight and shadow . White and black on any drawings will always make everything hyper realistic.
autumnsilverwolves says:
It depends, because shadows aren’t pure black, and pure white in a painting can look chalky.
Don Miller says:
I have a friend who’s interested in model trains and particularly in scenery making. One day I was watching him color the slopes around a tunnel entrance with different greens and earth tones. When it appeared as though he was done I said “No offense, but it looks kind of drab dude”. He smiled and grabbed a bottle of water that was mixed with plain old India Ink and started misting the scenery. My God, I swear it just transformed in front of my eyes. It made the slopes look old and eroded from water runoff. You could see the individual bricks in the tunnel face and areas on the cliffs looked spotlighted from the sun because other areas close to it appeared in shadow. He called it Instant Texture.
It amazed me what a little shade could do. I was very impressed.
Bruce Banner says:
Would’ve gone for a blue background istead of purple
